Joan Rose Parker (Toomey) was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother during her incredible 80 years of life. She suddenly passed away in the early hours of Monday, January 6th, 2025.
Joan had a fulfilling life. She was born on March 18th, 1944, in Pennsauken, New Jersey, to Thomas Sr. and Rose Toomey. She graduated from Audubon High School in 1962. She married Craig P. Parker and was married for 48 years. Joan retired from the IT Department from Viruta (West Jersey Hospital) after 30 years. After retirement, she moved to Florida, where she devoted her time with family, especially her great grandbabies.
She was survived by her devoted child, Wendy L. Malas of Port Richey, FL, and her grandchildren, Justin J. Wurtz and his wife Erin of Westville, NJ and Chelsea L. Flory and her husband Levi of Hudson, FL. Joan also survived by her great grandchildren Kylie, Kole, and Kaiden and her beloved dogs Minnie and Spot.
Joan was predeceased in death by her parents and brother, Thomas Toomey Jr., and her husband, Craig, and her son, Brian Parker.
A gathering to celebrate her life will take place on Friday, January 31st, 2025, at 2:00 PM and held at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home, 9944 Hudson Ave. Hudson, FL 34667.

Joan , you and I have been friends since 1985 when we worked together at West Jersey Hospital in HR . We have shared so much through the years and kept in touch through calls and texts . Will miss you my dear friend and pray that you will Rest in Peace 🙏❤️
