Joann Valentina Ortowski Walton of New Port Richey, FL died suddenly on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Born in Flushing, NY in 1958, she moved with her beloved parents to Florida in 1980. She briefly lived in Las Vegas, NV and Houston, TX but longed to come back to Florida. She will be remembered for being kind and giving to those around her in need and for being a wonderful Mom, Nana, Sister and Aunt.

She is proceeded in death by her beloved parents Felix and Theresa Ortowski.  She is survived by her daughter, Holly Palfy (Justin); brother, Thomas Ortowski (Lisa); nieces, Dawn Young (Doug), Theresa Dethlefsen (Paul), and Alexandra Ortowski; great-nieces, Kyleigh and Kendall Young; great-nephews, Kristopher Young, Jacob, and Ryan Dethlefsen; cousin, Linda Lyles, her beloved cats, dozens of friends that loved her dearly, and her grandson Jackson Palfy-the light of her life.

She would routinely cook and bring meals to some who otherwise wouldn’t have had a lunch or dinner. To honor her memory, please find someone in need and help them.

Thanks for always being fun and having a great a sense of humor. Thanks for taking me in and always wanting me around. Holly I’m still in shock I meet your mom at 10 years old. We celebrated birthdays together,we hunted down boys together, I remember your grandparents so well. Sending love and support to the whole family. Please tell Tom he’s has my prayers I remember him singing in a band “ this magic moment” Joann will never be forgotten

Holly , I’m still in shock. I’ve lost such a good friend. The memories, the laughs we shared, were many. What a sense of humor she had! Kind, compassionate, thoughtful. I’ll never forget her.
