John “Johnny” Anthony Sofia, 83, passed away unexpectedly on August 18, 2024, in Holiday, Florida.  Johnny was born in Revere, Massachusetts, the beloved son of John and Clara (Crivello) Sofia.

Johnny attended Revere High School before landing a job with the United States Postal Service. He retired from there after 35 years. He married Janice and moved to Florida in 1997 to start a new life. He kept busy working part time jobs and enjoyed playing golf on the weekends.

 Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Lee Sofia and sister-in-law Arlene Sofia.

 He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Janice, brother Tony Sofia, Daughter Patti (Joey) Beattie, Stepson Sean Wilson, two Grandchildren LeeAnn and Ryan Beattie, Sisters in laws Denise (Thorvald) Poekel and Robin Lovetere, and many Nieces and Nephews.

 Celebration of Life will be held at Dobies Funeral Home, 701 E. Tarpon Ave., Tarpon Springs, FL 34689 on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 2pm-4pm.
