John will be missed by everyone he met at Nielsen -especially the Local TV team. He was such a bright individual. Every time I had a station related question I could not answer, John was there to explain it to me. He had a warm smile that always came out during funny moments at our 9am team status meetings. Although I did not spend any time with John outside of work, I knew the following from his Bio Slide that he put together and presented to the team on his first day with Local TV:
“I enjoy jogging in the morning while listening to podcasts. I go to the movies a lot. I love most ‘nerdy’ things (Star Wars/Trek, Comics, video games, X-Men, Lord of the Rings, etc.). I like to learn new software/programming skills and enjoy computers”.
There are no words that I could say to ease the family's pain. In situations like this, life sometimes does not make any sense. It reminds us that life is temporary and that we should make the most out of every day.
I pray that God comforts you all during this time of sorrow. Sincerely,
Victor
