John N. Nickelson was a beloved son, husband, father, uncle, grandfather and great-grandfather.  John joins his beloved wife of 66 years Mary “Joanne” Nickelson who died 8-4-2021.  They were married on Oct. 9^th 1954.  Also their son Edward Grant Nickelson, Mother Nora, brother-in-law Bill Niere & his wife Wanda, nephew Martin “Mike” Niere, niece Kathy Mildred (husband John), & his grandchild Ashley Victor.  He leaves behind 4 children:  John Nickelson Jr., William “Mike” Nickelson, Kenneth Nickelson (wife Laura) and Theresa “Terri” Reynolds (husband John).  He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren:  Jeannette M. Nickelson (mother Becky), Marc R. Reynolds, Elizabeth A. Nickelson, Mary M. Nickelson, Paige Nickelson, Faith Nickelson, Joyce Nickelson and Lilly Nickelson.  3 Great-grandchildren:  Liam Edward Reynolds, Mia R. Hernandez, Marlee J. Hernandez, a nephew Rick Straub & a great-nephew Adam Mildred, Niece Willett Hooten.

Both John and Joanne came from humble beginnings.  They met through Joanne’s brother Bill and married Oct. 9^th 1954 and had 5 children together.  They also started a business together and grew it through hard work and perseverance to become one of the largest collection agencies in the Midwest.  They sold it in the early 90’s to retire & enjoy life.  They travelled both before & after retirement internationally as well as domestically.  Their greatest focus however, was on Family & Moms love for Jesus.  During this time they took up ballroom dancing & became acquainted with many friends who they kept through the years.

Be at peace together in Heaven & have dancing hearts filled with joy & love.  We ALL miss you terribly.  Till we are ALL together again.
