John Thomas “Big John” Williams

July 6, 1966 – November 11, 2022

John Thomas “Big John” Williams, 56, of Hudson, FL left this world peacefully surrounded by family and God’s presence at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point on Friday, November 11th, 2022.  He was born July 6th, 1966, in Cuyahoga County, Lakewood, OH. John was preceded in death by his parents John Wayne and Beverly Kincaid Williams of Kinston, NC.

John is survived by his wife Lori Sheldon Williams and her two sons, Taylor – Hudson, FL, and Nicholas – Orlando, FL; his son “J.T.” John Jr. (and wife Kim) – Brandon, FL; his daughter Heather (and fiancé Jason) – Hudson, FL; his son Christian, and two daughters Hope and Christina – all of Fort Myers, FL; two siblings: Lori Gaskins (and husband Donnie) of Hugo, NC; Wayne Williams (and wife Cindy) of Kinston, NC; five grandchildren: Kaliee, Cheryl, Aurora, Luna, and Levi; two nieces and one nephew: Mandy, Ashley, and Chris; and a host of extended family, long-time friends, trainees, and competitors who love him and will miss him very much!

John led a life full of impressive accomplishments all of which he enthusiastically committed himself to 110% with all his heart. He was well known for his “give it all you got, never quit attitude” and it was this attribute that made him the excellent leader and mentor who inspired every life he touched.  John attended Midland Trail High School of Hico, WV where his interests in Art and Sports, especially Football, cultivated his leadership abilities.  After graduating high school, he continued his studies in Arts at the WVU Institute of Technology in Beckley, WV. Afterward, he followed his interest to serve his country by entering the United States Army. John was very proud to be a veteran who had served his country honorably for 4 years.

John’s travels overseas while in the Army encouraged his passionate interest in the Arts which included: Martial Arts which eventually led him to accomplish “Grand Master”; earned the title of Health/Wellness Holistic Nutritional Coach – aka personal trainer which complemented his love for Bodybuilding/Fitness;  Painting which led him to become an outstanding Tattoo Artist… but most importantly a man who followed his driven passion for LIFE! One of the many great qualities about John was his love for his family and children. He was an inspiring and fun person to be around.

A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 17th, 2022, from 2-5 pm at Dobies Funeral Home, 9944 Hudson Ave. Hudson, FL 34667.
