We were so fortunate to have spent time with Joe and Agnes. They led us to a wonderful church and we enjoyed our many breakfasts together. He was a great man who loved the Lord. We will miss him, but know he is with the Lord. We keep the family, especially Agnes , in our prayers for peace and comfort. Cherish the memories ❤️.

To the entire Mooney family,

I have fond recollections of the time that you lived with our family after moving to the States. It was an interesting experience for a five year old boy! Later, I enjoyed working for Joe during my first few years at Sundstrand and seeing you, Mrs. Mooney, at Aviation Mechanical events. You are wonderful people.

Dear Agnes, Ian, Charlene and the rest of your wonderful family. Joni and I; Laura and Amy, and their families, want you to know how much Joe and you all meant to us as neighbors in Rockford for many years. So sorry to learn of Joe’s passing; but if there was ever anyone who was ready and prepared for that event it was Joe. God Bless you all. I remember with fondness the times we had together; and the trips Joe and I made to the UK recruiting engineers for Sundstrand. Joe was a wonderful friend, colleague, and neighbor. Great blessings to you all.

We were so very, very sorry to hear of Joe’s passing. Our heartfelt condolences to Agnes and the extended family. It was our pleasure serving Joe and Agnes for over 20 years. Joe was always so loyal, kind and delightful. I especially looked forward to our conversations with his laugh and charming Irish brogue. He will truly be missed by myself, Pete, Peter IV and staff at Term A Sect Pest Control.

Sorry for your loss. Joe and I had a good relationship at Sundstrand. I was the marketing person who did the preliminary design and proposal of the wing sweep system which Steve
Baits did not want me to do and Steve disagreed with me on the importance of “Fracture toughness” . After I left the company, Steve made the decision that lead to the loss of a job for Joe and I was not there to argue the other side. We met again at baggage claim at Heathrow as he was headed home. He was a fine man and a great loss.

As I was reading Psalm 1 this morning I was reminded of Joe Mooney. I remember quoting to Joe this Psalm when I wrote to congratulate him on one of his promotions at Sundstrand many years ago. I then looked up Joe on the Internet and found his obituary. I was so sorry for the family and the loss that it is for them I’m sure. However, I would’ve loved to been there when Jesus welcomed Joe into heaven and said the words that I’m sure Joe longed to hear, “Well done thou good and faithful servant; enter into the joy of your master.“
