Joshua Bruce Maxson Sr., age 34, of Largo, FL fondly known as “Josh” passed away Saturday July 15, 2023.  Josh was the loving son of Desiree Conklin-Smith. He was born on December 23, 1988. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Penny Strole of St. Augustine FL. Great Grand Parents Michael and Mabel Levitsky of Philadelphia PA.

 He leaves to rejoice in his memory his two children, Joshua Bruce Maxson Jr. and Shaylee Ann Michelle Maxson of Holiday FL.  One brother and four sisters. Christine Smith of St. Petersburg; Jason Michael Maxson of Stockholm Sweden; Angelica Koehler of Holiday; Desiree Seville of Seminole; and Autumn Seville of Holiday. Three uncles, Seth Steinman of Harrisburg PA; John (Jamel) Joseph Begley III of Haleiwa HI and Michael Anthony Begley of St. Augustine Florida. One Aunt, Alyse C. Bernstein of Philadelphia PA. Many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews who will truly miss him. 

Josh grew up in Largo Florida where he attended Calvin Hunsinger High School. Josh enjoyed going to the beach. He loved being near the water. He loved watching sunsets. He truly loved his family, children, and friends. He loved working with his hands. Being outside doing Horticulture and taking care of plants.  He had a love of music and woodworking. He made everyone who knew him laugh and cry at all the stories he shared. He had a big heart and would help anyone that asked.

His death came as a shock to everyone who knew him. In the days following Josh’s death, many people came forward to share stories about how he has touched their lives and that he will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Our family is grateful to know that Josh is at peace.
