FKA: Judith Ellen Bammann
Judith “Judy” Donnelly, 78, of Hudson, Florida, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2022, at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease).
Judy was born in New York City, New York to Thomas and Mildred Donnelly on March 9, 1944. She grew up in Clearwater, FL with her brother Thomas “TJ” Donnelly, where she enjoyed having fun with her brother and neighborhood friends. She attended and graduated from Clearwater High School (class of 1962), where she developed lifelong friendships and lived life to the fullest.
Judy met and married Robert Bammann on March 30, 1969, and they were married for 40 years until April of 2009. Together, they had 2 beautiful children (John Bammann and Stacey Bammann-Marquis). Judy was also mother to 3 children from Robert’s previous marriage (Robert “Bobby” Bammann, Richard “Richie” Bammann, and Raymond “Ray” Bammann) Judy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who loved to travel and spend time with her family. She enjoyed going to the beach where she took pride in her tan and seeing just how dark she could get. In her spare time, Judy loved to Crochet, Cross Stitch, and do crossword puzzles which were hobbies that she picked up from her mother Mildred. With an infectious laugh, Judy was the life of the party. She loved to tell stories and often times couldn’t finish those stories because she was laughing so hard telling them. Judy was extremely devoted to her family as her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren brought so much joy to her life. She cherished the moments, memories, and happiness that each one of them brought her and loved to talk about all the silly things that her children would do. To hear her talk about her family with such love and admiration, you could feel the love pouring from her heart.
Judy’s professional career began as a Legal Secretary for the Law Offices of Chip Waller in New Port Richey, FL. From there, Judy would become an Entrepreneur while gaining her broker’s license and starting her very own Realty Company, “Realty Rama”. While maintaining her professional career, Judy was also an original owner of the Hudson Marina in Hudson, FL and the Pelican Marina in Hudson, FL. alongside her husband Robert Bammann.
While wearing many hats over the years, everything came back to the love she had for her family. Structure was extremely important to Judy. She was insistent that no matter how busy or how crazy “life” was, dinner was ready at the same time every night. Doctors’ appointments were never missed. You went to school no matter what, and bedtimes were the same each night. It was this structure that helped Judy raise her family into the loving adults they soon became. Judy also had an amazing support system in place before she passed as she was cared for by her Daughter Stacey, her Son in Law Joey, her son Bobby, and Daughter in Law Anna. It was this love and devotion that showed just how loved and adored Judy truly was to everyone.
Judy will be forever loved and remembered by all of her family and friends for her resilience, compassion, humor, love, spirit, and amazing personality. She is survived by her loving family; Brother Thomas “TJ” Donnelly of Frisco, TX., Sister In Law Diane Donnelly of Frisco, TX; Children, Bobby Bammann of Spring Hill, FL. (Wife Anna Bammann) Stacey Marquis of Hudson, FL. (Husband Joey Marquis), John Bammann of Port Richey, FL. John and Stacey your mom was amazing. I fondly remember when we’d be over the house after school when we were little and she always treated us like one of her own. Whether it was our homework, an after school snack, or whatever until our mom or dad got home from work. Those were some of the best memories living down on the river by you all.

So sorry to hear of Judy’s passing. I worked with her many years ago at Chip Waller’s office. She was smart, funny and great to work with. RIP Judy!
