Judith Eliese Basar, “Judy”, aged 69, formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away on August 11, 2024, in New Port Richey, Fl where she resided for the last three years, a future retirement dream she made come true.  Judy was born June 30, 1955, in Henderson, NY to Laura Jane (Burleson) Basar and John A Basar, Sr.   Judy graduated from Henderson Central High School in 1973.  She then received an Associate Degree at JCC in Watertown, NY and later studied Health Care Management at Metropolitan State University in Denver and had a respected career as a coding specialist, educator and coordinator. She worked many years at St. Joseph’s Health, Syracuse, NY and continued her career as a Project Manager III for Centene WellCare in Florida.

Judy was pre-deceased by her parents and her brothers, John A. Basar, Jr, and Joseph (Josh) Basar.  Survived by sisters, JoAnn (Basar) Riker and Jacqueline (Basar) Howl, nieces, Myra Basar and Lena (Basar) King; grandnephew, Connor and grandniece, Hazel;  sister-in-law, Debbie Basar. Also, her very close friend, Keith Christman and her fur babies, Cinnamon and Phinney.  A celebration of life will be held at Dobies Funeral Home, 6618 Congress Street, New Port Richey, Fl, September 6, 2024.  Hours:  11am to 1pm, adjourning after to Fred Howard Beach State Park for a continued celabration.
