Kathryn Joan Reitano – Jan 16, 1941 – March 3, 2023
Dearest friends and family, our beloved Kathy Reitano left this life 5 minutes before midnight on the evening of March 3. She is survived by her husband Tom, her daughters Kim Johnson (husband Monte), and Kathleen (Kaz) O’Sullivan (husband Brian), her beloved grandchildren Charles Johnson (wife Esther), Katherine Tiskevics (husband Daniel), Logan O’Sullivan, Danielle O’Sullivan, her precious Great Grandchildren Aletheia, Baruch and Tifara Johnson, and Konrad and Ivan Tiskevics. Kathy is now reunited in heaven with her beloved son, Thomas who preceded her in death.
She lived life to the fullest to her last breath. Just a few short months prior to her passing, she and Tom enjoyed the moonrise over Panama on a cruise ship to California (!). She chased her great grandchildren around in California and journeyed back to Florida, planning her next adventures. Although the last few years were fraught with various ailments, she saw these as temporary setbacks and always set her sights on the next adventure. She loved her friends and family with deep conviction, and loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart. She taught us all to love well, and to live the life God gave us abundantly.
There truly are no words for how much we will miss her. Please share your memories of Kathy – we cherish your stories and condolences.

As a young child my parents had some close friends with whom I became very familiar. Those friends became like family with the frequent visits over many years. Although time and distance has separated us over the years, the place they hold in my heart has not. It aches for the family and friends who have lost a Mother, Grandmother, Wife, friend and confidant.
I remember visits, game nights, bar-b-ques, beach outings, trips upstate and more with Kathy and her family. I can hardly think of anything she cooked I wouldn’t want more of. My memories of her of a a happy woman. I always associate Simon & Garfunkel music with Kathy as I recall hearing it on a car radio while riding with her once.
Kathy will always be in my heart, as will Tom, Kim and Kathleen.

My sincere condolences on your loss. I am only just seeing this so my apologies for the lateness. I knew Kathy since I was around 12 yrs old when my sister Laura started dating her husband Toms brother John. I remember her bringing her adorable baby girl Kim to our house for us to enjoy, and stopping off at her house in Queens for a quick hi w my sister. She was always, kind, warm and happy. May she rest in peace w her son
