Chorba, Laraine (Sissy)
73, of New Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late John M. and Marguerite D. Chorba, departed this Earth for her heavenly home on Sunday, March 29, 2020.

Sissy was a student at Open Door School since 1981. How she did love that school, all of it's teachers, students, and their families!

Sissy loved life, music, Elmo, Mr. Rogers, Shirley Temple movies, and The Sound Of Music.

She loved to travel. Cruises were her favorite.

Sis's smile could light up a small town. People of all ages and animals of many species were drawn to her when she came into an area.

This world was a brighter and better place with Sissy in it. Now the heavens will shine brighter with her as the newest star.

Sissy is survived by a sister, Barbara, of New Port Richey, with whom she lived; a brother, David and sister-in-law Mary Alice of Beaumont, California; a nephew, Chris and grand-nephew Alex of California; a niece, Alyson Walker (her husband, Michael); grand nieces, Emerald and Ruby Walker; plus numerous cousins and extended family members across three continents.

Remembrance and Celebration Of Life to be determined. No services at this time. No viewing.

Donations may be made to:
Open Door School of New Port Richey or Charity Of Choice

You may have been challenged in your life Sissy, but I know of no one more joyful, smart, funny, and loving than you. You showed us all how to live in the most simplistic and lovely way. Rest in Peace…and by the way, you could've had a V-8!
