Laurie was my dance teacher from the ages of 4 through 16. Imagine having a teacher for 12 years of your childhood – that was the impact she had on me. I spent a few days a week in her classes, she babysat me, and I had play dates with her daughter. She introduced me to new people as a teen who turned into some of my closest fiends at that time. Most of my memories of my childhood involve her dance classes, recitals, and the time I spent in her care. She was passionate about dance, animals and the people in her life. She had strong opinions she wasn’t afraid to share. She didn’t change who she was based upon the opinions of others. She was one of a kind!

Forever grateful for the positive impact she had on me as a young girl. She gave me the support, encouragement and confidence to dance as if no one was watching. She will always hold a special place in my heart.
