Margaret Putnam Long passed away September 12, 2023 surrounded by her loving family.  Margaret was born on March 11, 1930 in Norfolk, VA.  She is survived by her husband of 72 years Rally E. Long, her daughter Cheryl Long Edwards and husband John Edwards, her grandsons Doug Edwards and wife Casey, Daniel Edwards and wife Courtney, and her great grandsons Carter Edwards, Ethan Edwards and Gray Edwards.

In her later years Margaret had dementia but one of her childhood memories that she remembered and would talk about was being in Hawaii when Pearl Harbor was bombed.  Her father was in the Navy and she was 11 years old.

She loved her family and always had a smile.  She would tell you “ Don’t get old” and “Go Enjoy”.  She will be greatly missed.

A service will be held in November in South Carolina.
