Marilyn Elaine Carter, 88 years old passed away peacefully Thursday March 31,2022 at her home surounded by her daughter Tracy, in Spring Hill Florida. Marilyn was born November 19,1933 in Chappaqua, NY, to parents Richard and Emily Burklin. She married Billy Clarke Carter and they had 3 children Kim, Tracy and Candace. She waitressed at Webb’s City Diner and Antler’s Restaurant in St.Petersburg, FL for many years. A few of Marilyn’s passions we’re gardening, reading books and her love for animals. She loved nothing more than to have her 3 dogs by her side. She is proceeded in death by her parents Richard and Emily Burklin, Husband Billy Clarke Carter and Granddaughter Melissa Wood. Marilyn is survived by sister Carole Landry(Robert), 3 children Kim Carter(Linda), Tracy Stults(Larry),Candace Schwan(Keith), 4 grandchildren Jenniffer, Kimberly, Casey and Kelly, 8 great grandchildren Emily, Trever, Mackinze, Hunter, Lillian, Katelynn, Sagelyn and Sarah. She will be loved and missed everyday. She can now rest easy with her sweet Melissa by her side.

Grandma was a kind in loving person. She was always working in her garden and loved spending time with her family. I was lucky enough to have spent some time with her from time to time when I would visit her granddaughter Jenniffer. She is truly going to be missed by some many people including me…. Marilyn was a kind caring sweet and friendly woman. I will always remember her going out to play softball when we were kids. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
