Marjory Gay (Sebring) Flick, known to her friends and loved ones as Margie, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at the age of 88.
Born on October 22, 1936, in Knox Dale, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Wayne and Esther (Dickey) Sebring. Margie graduated from Brookville High School and went on to earn her R.N. at the Clearfield School of Nursing. During nursing school, she met her future husband, Douglas Flick, while on a clinical rotation at a hospital in Warren, PA. They shared a loving marriage for 57 years until his passing in 2014.
Margie was a talented craftswoman, creating many beautiful quilts, making handcrafted teddy bears, and sewing clothes and costumes for her children and grandchildren. An avid bridge player, she achieved the Life Master rank and enjoyed a variety of games and puzzles. A passionate traveler, she explored destinations across the United States and abroad.
Her family was her greatest joy, and being a mother and grandmother were the roles she cherished most. She was always there to cheer on her loved ones and encourage them in their pursuits.
Margie is survived by her sister, Doris Pearce. She is also survived by her three children and their spouses:
Ken and Jean (Deller) Flick, Jack and Pam (Deller) Flick, and Sheila Flick and Ron Banzon.
She leaves behind four beloved grandchildren:
Maggie Flick and her spouse, Zach Hajifathali, Madison Flick, Peter Banzon, and Dean Banzon.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five siblings: Marie Bush, Junie Bush, Gerry Miller, Albert Sebring, and Ginny Bogacki.

Services will be held at the Carrier Funeral Home 2834 Maplevale Rd., Brookville, PA on Saturday, April 5th. Viewing will start at 11:00 am followed by service at 12:00.

I was lucky enough to enjoy some lovely dinners and evening at the theater with Mrs. Flick. She was always great company. She will be missed.
