Marquita Joanne Gary was born May 12, 1976 in Gary, Indiana to Joan (Bonner) and Larry Jefferson Gary. Marquita departed this life on Friday, January 1, 2021 at Marliere Hospice House in New Port Richey, Florida.

Marquita graduated from Westside High School in Gary, Indiana, June 1994. She worked in retail most of her adult life. Marquita accepted Christ at a young age and was baptized at Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church in Gary Indiana, where she sang in the choir and participated in the youth departments District and Sate wide. She relocated to Florida and joined Union Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the Choir and served on the Beautification Ministry.

Marquita was preceded in death by her father Larry Gary, brother Wyat Mitchell, step-father Alvin Dennis and all grandparents.

She leaves to cherish her memory; daughter Aundrea Cherie Berry, mother Joan Dennis, Brothers Larry J. Jr., and Michael Ray Gary of New Port Richey; sister Kiesha Rainell Gary of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota; brother Henry (Cynthia) Mitchell of San Antonio, Texas; Sean Dennis of Evansville, Indiana; Pauline (Jeremy) Slatton, Chattanooga Tennessee; uncles and aunts, Ralph A. (Leatrice) Smith, Clay O. Bonner, Perrie K. (Daniece) Bonner, Gail R. (L.C.) Mangum all of Gary , Indiana; Cherie D. (Stanley) Butts of Holiday, Florida; Kenneth L. (Senovia) Bonner, Janette Smith Cobb all New Port Richey, Florida; David (Carmen) Gary, of St. Petersburg, Florida; Stephen Gary, Largo, Florida; Delores Ann (John) King, St. Clairsville, Ohio; Richard (Vickie) Martin, Elizabethtown, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews other relative and friends.

Home going services Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Union Missionary Baptist Church 6235 Pine Hill Road, Port Richey, Florida at 11:00 AM. Service will be live on Facebook on the church website.
