Martha Newman, 81, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away on January 2nd, 2023. She is survived by her husband Frank Goff; her sons Paul Newman and Jay Newman; her two grandsons and her her brother Mont Phelps.

I first met Martha when I was a manager of marketing and communications at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Tampa. She was an amazingly hard worker. Whether is was making up info packets or stapling documents or sorting through donated items, she was always helpful and cheerful. We always enjoyed hearing about her family, whether it was husband Frank or her two sons.
Martha always had a hug and a kind word for everyone, and she always remembered our birthdays as we did hers.
Martha was also a proud Shrine lady and member of the Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America, Nefertiti Court #84 in New Port Richey and supported all the local courts.
Her commitment to the Shriners’ mission and to the hospital was among the many reasons the hospital named her its Volunteer of the Year when I was there. I and everyone else whose lives she touched will miss her terribly. My deepest sympathies to Noble Newman and all her loved ones.
