With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Mary Anne Stanaitis on February 23, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, PA, Mary Anne graduated from St. Nicholas High School before continuing her education at College Misericordia. She was the cherished daughter of the late Thomas and Anna Yorkunas Galdun Sr.

In 1957, Mary Anne married the love of her life, John Stanaitis, and together they built a beautiful life in New Jersey. As a devoted wife and mother, she poured her heart into raising her family before pursuing a career in nursing. With unwavering compassion and dedication, she excelled as a registered nurse, providing care and comfort to those in need.

Upon retirement, she and John embraced a new chapter in Tarpon Springs, Florida, where they found joy in the sunshine, the ocean breeze, and the company of family. Their days were filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories along the sandy shores of Cape May Point.

Mary Anne was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John, and her dear brother, Thomas Galdun Jr. She leaves behind a legacy of love in her children: Richard Stanaitis (Lisa Stroligo), Anne Marie Vezzosi (William), Patricia Werner (Robert), and Carolyn Dziedzic (John). She was a devoted and proud grandmother to Michael (Nicole), Lauren, William, Robert, Noah, Dean (Jess), Dale (Daniella), and Dylan (Amber). Her love extended even further to her precious great-grandchildren, Riley, Zoe, and Domenic, who brought her endless joy.

Mary Anne’s gentle spirit, boundless love, and unwavering kindness will forever live in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her. Her family takes comfort in knowing she is now reunited with John, watching over them with love.

A celebration of her beautiful life will be held at St Ignatius of Antioch Roman Catholic Church March 12th, 2025 at 11:30am. Where family and friends will come together to honor and remember the remarkable woman she was.

“Those we love don’t go away; they walk beside us every day. Unseen, unheard, but always near, so loved, so missed, so very dear”
