Mary “Joanne” (Nagle) Tsangaris, 89, passed away June 20, 2024. She was born and raised in Altoona, PA before moving to Washington D.C. While attending a USO dance, she met her future husband, Charlie who was stationed at the USMC base in Quantico, VA. She was the love of his life. They married and moved to Tarpon Springs, FL in 1957.
She worked at Jester Kids, Pinellas County School System as a teacher’s aide, and for the Pinellas County Tax Collector for 20 years. She was a beloved mother, homemaker, baker, arts and crafter, and loved her flowers.
She is survived in death by her loving husband of 67 years, Charles Tsangaris, Palm Harbor. She is also survived by her three children: Dorothy (Bill) Dub, Palm Harbor; Georgetta (Carl) Doyle, Tarpon Springs; and George (Kim) Tsangaris, Holiday. She was blessed with three grandchildren, Calvin (Caroline), Kristin (Nick), and Kayla; and one beautiful great-grandson, Theodore. Also survived by one brother, Michael Nagle, Palm Harbor.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM, on Friday, July 26th, at the St Luke’s the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2757 Alderman Road, Palm Harbor. Since Joanne adored flowers, please consider wearing your favorite floral clothing in her honor.
In lieu of flowers, a donation made in her memory to Fairway Chalet ALF, 905 Virginia Ave, Tarpon Springs, FL 34689, would be much appreciated.

I’m sorry to hear about Joanne’s passing! I have such fond memories of her when I was young and going over to her home! She was a kind and thoughtful person! She made such delicious Greek dishes 😘 Love and prayers to her family!

Joanne will be greatly missed. She was such a beautiful woman. I had the privilege of meeting her when I was 15 years old and later the pleasure of working with her. My heart breaks for her family
