Mary Jean (MJ) Funcheon (neé Davidson), 63, of Odessa, Florida, passed away on August 31st, 2022, with her family by her side.
She was born to the late Alfred and Mary Davidson on October 1st, 1958, in Stony Point, New York. MJ graduated from North Rockland High School in 1976 and held two bachelor’s degrees – one in Public Health from Empire State College and one in Nursing from the University of South Florida.
She was married to Thomas Funcheon on May 5th, 1985, and they lived in New York until 2002 when they moved the family to Tampa. MJ is survived by her two children, Kara and Jenna; and one granddaughter Piper.
MJ loved her family and friends and showed her love through food (usually too much food). She loved to travel and instilled that love in her family. MJ’s favorite places were London, Rome, and of course anywhere she was with her loved ones. She had a quick wit and a wicked sense of humor.
A very special thanks goes out to Joanne Mayers.

I only heard about Mary Jean’s passing within the last day or so. So sad she was so young but God has all of it under His control. I have fond memories of Mary Jean laughing and just being a very bright star!
My deepest condolences to all of you.
