Our precious Mary Carson passed into God’s arms on January 26th, 2025, at the Residence at Timber Pines in Spring Hill, Florida. She was 94 years old.  She battled with  dementia for over ten years.  Mary was born on March 12, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois to John and Opal Merrill.  Mary worked in the Chicago area for Jewel/Osco, Sears, JC Penney and retired as a Records Clerk for the Hickory Hills Police Department.  She spent many wonderful years sailing with her husband Ray, taking care of her beloved fur baby Mitzie, sewing and crafting with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 74 years, Raymond D. Carson, aged 95.  They originally met as teen agers at the White City Roller Rink in the Chicago area.  Mary was predeceased by her brother John Merrill and sister Betty Rademaker.  She gave birth to three daughters, Jeneine Terrell (spouse Bernard, deceased), Diana O’Neil (spouse Kevin) and Kathryn Krasowski (spouse Rich).  She was blessed with 9 grandchildren:  Bernie (Theresa), Amelia, Andrew, George (Katie), Timothy (Melissa), Kathrine (Todd), Richard III, Deanna (Donovan) and Thomas.  Mary also has 14 beautiful great grandchildren:  Dylan, Allyson, Renee, Reagan, John Randal, Grace, Liam, James, Patrick, Rory, Reagan, Conal, Liam, and Eamon.  We will miss her with all our hearts, but we all know she is in a happier place.  Services will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025 from 10am until noon at Dobies Funeral Home, 8825 Old County Road 54, New Port Richey, Florida, 34653.
