June 18, 1976~January 05, 2025

Melissa Ann Denney 48, of Tarpon Springs, FL gained her angel wings after a long, heroic battle with cancer, on January 5, 2025. She was born on June 18, 1976, a daughter of Wayne and Karen (Billheimer) Kelley of RuffsDale, PA. She is survived by her soulmate and best friend husband Scott Allen Denney. They shared over 25 years together, 22 as husband and wife. She is also survived by a sister Christina Kelley and two nieces Madyson and Taylor Kosor all of PA. Melissa was a graduate of Seton Hill College where she was lovingly known as “Pipes”.  After marriage Melissa enjoyed life with Scott, moving first to Williamsport, PA, Salisbury, MD and finally to Tarpon Springs, FL. Together they loved to fish, sometimes Melissa even caught the biggest one. She loved sports and was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers fan but it didn’t matter who was playing or what the sport was, she appreciated and loved them all. She was mom to dogs, Smokey, Jack, and Truffle. Even during her battle with cancer, she was stoic and a “warrior”. She was always there to share a smile, a sarcastic comment was her specialty. She never complained or asked for anything. To know her was to love her and she had a positive impact on everyone who had the privilege to spend time around her. Our hearts are broken at her passing. We miss her and will always love her. Till we meet again, our precious angel.
