Kelly,
I heard about this as the news came out. My heart breaks for you the children, the church, and TSPD. I’m at peace knowing where Mike is and the legacy he left as a husband, father, mentor, ambassador, and blue line family friend. I enjoyed knowing him in the early 2000s when Bruce D’Amico and I had the barber shop at 104 E. Tarpon Avenue. To this day, I’m still a barber and now I’m part of the law enforcement family. May these circumstances bring people to Christ and glorify Christ as Mike did. God bless you.

Kelly, we are so very sorry to learn of Michael’s passing. You and your entire family are in our thoughts and prayers as you face this extremely difficult and sorrowful time. Michael lived every moment to its fullest, laughed every day and loved beyond words. He was multi-talented and that man of outstanding character that has left a legacy of honesty, integrity and most importantly a man of faith that loved our Lord Jesus Christ with all of his very being. Michael, You never wavered. You are a true friend to all and a pillar of the Tarpon Springs community. Love you brother.

Mike Trill was infamous in the Pinellas County law enforcement community. Although I only met him once, prior to retiring in 2016, he was the kind of man that you did not forget. To the family, please accept my most sincere and heartfelt condolences. I pray that God Almighty grants you peace, strength, and comfort as you navigate the difficult days ahead. As for Mike, it was plainly obvious that he was a Christian who believed in, worshiped, and followed Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. As such, we can have confidence in the knowledge of where he has gone. Rest in peace, Sir…fair winds and following seas.

I just heard that Mike has gone home to be with our Lord Jesus. It grieves me to no end as he was so young and has a wife and young child still at home. I know Mike from Lakeside and attended school and church with him and Matt. Although I haven’t seen Mike in years, I’ve heard and read about his character and testimony for Christ several times. Like Enoch, he walked with God and now he is not, for God has taken him. I can’t understand the timing but he belonged to Jesus and His timing is always perfect. My prayers are with you Kelly and all of the Trill family, friends, colleagues and brothers and sisters in Christ that love him. May God grant you His peace that passes all understanding and may your hearts and minds remain in Him!

Kelly,
I was so upset to hear of the loss of your Michael. My heart is breaking for you and the kids. Such a difficult time, I know. Mike has touched so many of us over the years and was a very special man. He showed so many of us how to live life, with passion! I will miss his posts where he showed such great love for God, his family, friends and co-workers. He was bigger than life. I hope in time you and the kids will find peace in your hearts by keeping your memories close to your hearts, they will get you through. Sending you the biggest hug……

I am new to Bldg. 28 Church. And although I did not know Mike well, his godly example made an impacted on me and my two children. I normally attend the 9 am service and that is how I met Mike. He greeted me and my children nearly every time we came. He was always so uplifting. And as everyone knows he loved to get his worship on!!! It was like he truly had an audience of one. Please know I am praying for your strength and healing during this time. And when you are able, please take heart in knowing that he is joyfully waiting for all of us to join him very soon. Titus 2:13: looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ. God Bless you all.

A man who I try to mold myself after, a Man who cared about his family more than anything in the world. I first met Major Trill on a Thursday night 5 years ago when I had to ask him to quite down in the stands. Little did I know that that would be the exact opposite, for the next 4 years Mr.trill was in the stand every game home or hours away to cheer on his son. After every game meeting me for a talk and a selfie which as most of you know he loved to take. Memories that will last a life time, so thankful for you and your boy Ian. Rest in paradise Major Trill.

We meet people in life that either guide us or correct our path and mike had that effect. After my dad passed you were there for me and made sure that dark time did not affect how great it all is now and i will never forget it as long as i live. Thank you for everything and ill never forget that face whenever we asked you to smile for a picture! We lost a great man for those who did not get to experience your sense of humor truly missed out.

I am still struggling with the passing of Michael Trill. His persona was bigger than life itself. I knew him while working in Records at Dunedin PD. When he walked into the room, it exploded with his booming voice, persona and antics . . . and actually made my day. He was definitely
a rare breed and will be missed by all of us who are (or were) in the law enforcement community, as well as those he met while on duty. My heart and deepest sympathy goes out to his lovely family.
He will never be forgotten.

Trill, I remember my first year on SWAT, we had our banquet and you came up to me asking for a trillphy. 😂. We have seen each other a few more times and each with a photo. I will always remember your fun outgoing personality and how you were hard core SWAT/police. The LEO community has lost a good one! U will be missed!.
