March 18, 1962~August 21, 2021

Michael Jeffrey Creamer left this world too soon on August 18th, 2021. He is survived by his loving mother, Ruth Creamer; pre-deceased by his father, Walter Creamer, and brother Walter Jr. (Terry); two brothers – Tim and David; daughter, Ruthie; his neices and nephews – Ashley, Kieley, Victoria, Terry, Natalie, Zachary, Addysin, Oliver and Finley, who lovingly referred to him as their “Uncle Buck.”

The overarching theme of Mike’s life can be consolidated into one powerful word – generosity.

A mirrored effort, reflected in all of his worlds – the patients who turned to him in their most vulnerable moments; his fellow nurses that fought alongside him, and then later for him, against life’s hardest experiences; his friends and family that flocked to him for advice, support and compassion.

Mike’s circle would describe him as witty and playful, with that mischieviously fun undertone that set up conversations rooted in laughter, and stories that would lead to more stories. He was the epitome of life’s “cup-filler” moments. Extremely caring, with an effortless ability to be everyone’s friend, Mike’s mission in this world was simply to make others feel good. To paint you a picture, his idea of a prank would be to sneak away at dinner and pay for the entire bill, all while making it seem like some miracle occurred. No thanks necessary (although it wouldn’t stop a line of bear hugs appreciating his kindness).

At an early age, Mike stepped into a leadership brother role that wasn’t even defined yet – setting the standard for how this family treats each other and responds on calls to action. It was a call to duty that no one expected of him, yet that was Mike’s character – proactive versus reactive approaches to life’s obstacles and challenges. He quite literally stepped into his oldest brother’s shoes to give the younger ones that umbrella of safety and confidence to handle their own grief. This would have long-lasting effects on Mike’s life path, as he set out to be that beacon of hope for everyone else in the world throughout his medical career.
