Michele Egg

March 21, 1968~June 23, 2022

Many would say it was her wit, sarcasm, brilliance, or strength that allowed this woman to succeed as a lifeguard, HVAC business owner, perpetual student earning an MBA and a thesis away from a Doctorate,  math teacher, general contractor, and civil engineer.  But we all know this woman’s greatest achievement was being an amazing Mom, loving wife, and true friend.  Michele Egg, 54, of Lutz, FL passed away on June 23, 2022, leaving a passel of loved ones to carry on after she completed what she called the easy job of dying.  Michele never shied away from any challenge and tackled cancer with the same zealousness as 5K races, mini-triathlons, stair climbs, RV road trips, and vacation adventures.  She loved dark chocolate, steaks Pittsburgh rare, family photos with mandatory crazy outfits, baking amazing turkey in brown bags, watching sports, haunted houses/theme parks, laughing with friends, training her dogs, smiling, and creating amazing moments and memories for her family.  Michele had an uncanny knack for welcoming people, finding humor in every situation, guiding family and friends through difficult times, and motivating everyone to live in the moment and enjoy every day.  She was preceded in death by her father, John Abram, and is survived by her husband, Timothy Smith; children Jordan Egg, Taylor Egg, Brianna Smith, and Brennan Smith; mother, Virginia Gregory; brother, Doug Abram, and many extended family and friends.  If we each strive to emulate Michele’s LoVE! and laughter, then we are sure to experience true joy and success in our time here on Earth.  Instead of flowers, Michele prefers you be thankful for and kind to your family and friends, find something to laugh about every day, and look forward to her antics from beyond.

A private memorial will be held on July 10, 2022

“The tide goes out and leaves behind bright seashells in the sand. The sun goes down but gentle warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops and yet it echos on in sweet refrain.
For every joy that passes . . . Something beautiful remains.”

So sorry for the loss of your beautiful loved one. She showed us all how to love, laugh and love. Treasure the memories. She certainly left you with a treasure trove! ❤️

Michele has been a much loved part of our family for many years. I and every child of mine has special and precious memories of her which they have shared. It has been such a privilege to have Michele as a part of our ever expanding family. Jordy and Taylor are so privileged to have Michele as their mother. Michele’s cheerful and loving nature has blessed all she has come into contact with.
