Mike Steven “Lineman” Bishop, age 62, a resident of Dade City, Florida passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at his home in Ridgemanor FL surrounded by his family & in Prayer. He was born June 28, 1959, on an Army Base near Seattle, Washington to the late Kenneth Edward Bishop and Sybille Bishop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in Death by his sister Romona Rogers of Arlington, TX, and brother Donald Bishop of Woodstock, Virginia.
Mr. Bishop attended Arlington H.S. and Sam Houston H.S. In Arlington, TX. 1977; where he began his Electrical Education. In 1984 Mr. Bishop began his 23 year career as an Electrician for IBEW local #26. He held Electrical Licenses for Virginia, D.C, West Virginia and Maryland. In 2007, Mr. Bishop started traveling the globe as a Government Contractor utilizing his sought after expert Electrical skills. He traveled to the middle east for several years, Africa, Europe, Eastern Europe, and North and Eastern Asia.
Mr. Bishop loved riding his Harley Davidson, taking trips to the Casino, scratching off Lotto tickets, enjoyed wading in the Gulf Beach waters of Florida and loved traveling and having dinner out with his wife Ka-ren. Additionally, Mr. Bishop loved helping out the homeless and talking countless hours on the phone with friends and family.
Mr. Bishop is survived by his beloved wife Ka-ren Keller Bishop; his two sons, Clint Lee Bishop of Stephen City, Va.,and Bryant “BB” Bishop of Hudson, Fl.; his two daughters, Laura Rose “ Rosie” Bishop of Tampa, Fl. and Lindsay McCallum of Arlington,Tx.; his two Daughter- in laws, Erin Bishop of Stephen City, Va. and Hanne Bishop “Honey Bunny” of Hudson,Fl. that he truly loved as his own; future son- in law Robert Casciotta of Tampa, Fl.; his Cherished Grandchildren, Austin Herrrington, Brooke Herrington, Mason McCallum, Gavin Bishop, Trinity Bishop, Melany Chacin and Matthew Chacin; his sister Silvana Bishop and Jim of Arlington,TX.; his brother Jimmy Bishop of Arlington, Tx; his three Nephew’s Donald Rogers, Malcolm Rogers and Nick Ahern; his Niece’s Priscilla Rogers and adopted Jamie Konovich; his brother-in law Todd Keller; his sister-in-law and “Telephone Buddy” Lori Keller; adopted sister-in law Carol Ann Payne Langlais and Cousin Susan Payne; his many Cousins of Germany and Georgia; his beloved three dogs Jack, Brutus, Pearl and four cats Baby, Charlie, Penelope, and Winey; his loyal friends; Darrell Graves of VA, Jim Dimuzio of N.C. and Dale of PA. and had many countless friends across the globe.
A Private Chaplain Prayer was done for Mr. Bishop at his home with his family.
In Lieu of flowers, Mr.Bishop expressed donations for the Hernando County Shelter. They are a non-profit save 97 shelter, and direct response goes through “Operation Kindness”.

Ka-ren – Scott and I were so blessed to get to know you and Mike. Our boys fought hard. I am devastated for you and know how sad you are. Our grief is equal to our love. I hope Scott and Mike meet in heaven and have a few laughs. I will pray for you and your family. I am here for you. ❤️
