Nancy, 84 of New Port Richey, Florida passed away peacefully at Hospice after a short illness.
She was greeted in Heaven by her Parents, Husband, Son-In-Law, Grandsons and many Family members and Friends. Nancy has two children, Bryan and Kim and one Son-in-Law Pete- who called her ” Momma.”
Nancy also has 11 Grandchildren that called her “Nana:”
Felicia (Forrest), Nicholas (Jamie), Lanah(James), Jordan, Tianah, Chynee (Dave), Tauran (Amber), Kiarrah (Chase), Laken (Tom), Ariane, Dakota (Mike), and 21 Great-Grandchildren.
She loved every one of them with all her heart.
Nancy was born in Chicago, Illinois and was the only child of Harry and Lottie Horujko. She grew up living in a four-flat apartment with her Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and her two cousins Judy and Alice.
Nancy attended Catholic School and Graduated from Josephinum High School in1958. She kept in touch with her best friend, Carol.
After High School She worked downtown Chicago as a Secretary at a lamp factory.
Nancy was introduced to Larry by her Father as they both worked together at American Spring and Wire. They dated and married on July 16, 1960. And honeymooned in Sunny Florida! They moved to an apartment in Logan Square, Chicago! They had 2 children: Bryan, born 1961 and Kimberly, born 1964. In 1965 they moved out to the country in Antioch, Illinois to a beautiful home on a lake.
Nancy loved animals so much that she decided to get a job at the L & R Pet Shop and later ended up owning the business in 1978. She had many pets throughout her life in Antioch: 5 dogs, 1 cat, rabbit, baby raccoon, blue macaw, parakeet, gerbils, turtle and fish.
In 1996 Nancy and Larry moved to Florida. She worked as an Office Manager at her good friend Lydia’s Real Estate company for over 25 years.
Nancy’s best friend for over 50 years, Fran, and she went for lunch and shopping every week and attended Saturdays 6pm mass at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
Nancy loved puzzles- especially the Thomas Kinkade Disney ones. She loved watching mov Harry Potter and Indiana Jones movies as well as soap operas, murder mysteries, gameshows and QVC was always on at home. She found true joy in cooking for her Family – Sunday dinners and Holiday gatherings were the moments she cherished most.
Her favorite color was yellow, and she loved butterflies and birds too.
Our Mother was a source of inspiration to us all and will be deeply missed by everyone whose lives she touched.
Thank you, Mom, for being our best friend and showing us the true meaning of Motherly love. We will forever honor you and carry your love in our hearts forever. We love you and will miss you everyday.

So many things and relationships to be thankful for, cherish your many memories. Nancy was an amazing wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Fly high and rest in peace Nana.

Kim, Bryan and family I’m am so very sorry for your loss, your Mom was a great friend to me. Had a great time at work in the real estate office. I lost a true friend. I will miss her dearly. ❤️🙏
