Nancy Jean Cecil, 75, passed away on January 28, 2023 in Hudson, Florida. She was born on February 2, 1947 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Nancy had a passion for helping others, which she expressed through her work as a secretary for the USDA and later as the owner of her own daycare business. She devoted her life to educating and caring for children, and her kind and nurturing nature will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Nancy was the Wife of Uriel Cecil and loving mother of Todd and Wife (Cheryl), Mark, Shannon, Matthew, grandmother of Mikaleigh, Madalynn, Ashlynn, Max, and a friend, who touched the lives of everyone she met with her infectious smile and warm heart. She will be remembered for her unwavering optimism, her strong intellectual ethic, and her generosity to others.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved being a grandmother and reliving her life through her grandchildren.

A celebration of Nancy’s life will be held at DOBIES Funeral Home in Hudson, FL | Date: February 10th, 2023, when friends and family can come together to remember the beautiful person she was and to share their fondest memories of her.

Nancy is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and many friends who will miss her deeply. Her spirit and legacy will live on through the lives she touched and the love she shared.

May she rest in peace. I did not have the pleasure of meeting Nancy but met her daughter Shannon and granddaughter Ashlynn. By knowing them, Nancy had to be a great person and will always live wonderfully through them.

Ms. Nancy was a very Kind and Caring woman. When ever you needed to talk about anything, Ms. Nancy always had the right words to say, to comfort you. She will be dearly missed. Ms. Nancy and Jim (Steve) will be dancing together in Heaven now. Love April Montgomery and Family
