Ward, Nancy Lee Sugg, was born June 7, 1931, in San Mateo, CA. She passed away June 24, 2018, in Tarpon Springs, FL, peacefully in her sleep. Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Warrick Lee Ward, the love of her life; and her parents, Betty Marie Ross Sugg and Proctor Arnold “Buddy†Sugg, of Tampa. Nancy is survived by her three sons, Ross Madison Brown, of Athens, GA; Steven Arnold Brown, of Palm Springs, CA; Kent Sugg Brown, of Birmingham, AL; her step-son, Richard Lee “Skip†Ward, of Raleigh, NC; grand-children Daniel Robert Swalley, Alicia Marie Brown DeBardelaben, Jake Jehlen Brown, Nicolas Steven Brown, and Alan Westbrook Brown; and great-grand-children Zoey, Zack, Tanner, and Robin. Nancy and Lee moved to Tarpon Springs from Tampa in 1976, where they resided in happiness. She and Lee traveled the world and they loved their boats, the sea, and fishing, making eleven cruises to Dry Tortugas. Nancy was a member of the Junior League of Tampa as a young adult, volunteered as an auxiliary aid at Tampa General Hospital, then worked as a receptionist at the hospital.. In her later years she enjoyed the Tarpon Springs Book Club Nancy left a legacy of compassion and intelligence and will be dearly missed by her loving family and her circle of close friends.
