A beautiful life has come to an end. A hero, who dedicated his life to the service of his country, his family, and his friends. Remembering Nick is easy. We will do it every day. Missing him will be the hard part that will never go away. The most wasted of days is the one without his gracious smile, laughter, and his generosity. Nick was the loving husband to Michele Chirillo. Predeceased daughter Nicole Chirillo.
He was a retired Constable , earning the rank of Sergeant in Patchogue Long Island. The Suffolk County police auxiliary firearms instructor for many years. A member of local union 1456 Dock builders and pile drivers. Most recently a surveillance and security officer in Las Vegas, Nevada.
He was mostly proud of his service in the US Army 101st airborne division with the rank of Sargent. He acquired multiple distinguished service metals during his multiple and extended tours of duty, including being honored for his three purple hearts. This man was a hero to his country, his family, and to his friends .
