Nick and I married later on in life. We have known each other since 1970. We were always good friends and we were married for 38 years.
Nick was my best friend, confidant, and my true love. I will miss him with all my heart.
He had it tough for a long time. I know he is at peace now. I just hope that he is having a party with all of our loved ones that have passed.
Nick, you will always be in my heart. I love you babe forever.

Nick, you will truly be missed by so many! I love how you loved my sister with all your heart, you would always refer to her as “ your bride”! Glad you were so happy to move to Florida, wished you could have enjoyed it longer!
You and Diane treated Meredith and Billy like your kids after we lost Bill. I’m sure he’s telling you how much he appreciates your help and I am too! ❤️
Please tell him how great Kate, Kayla and Matthew are…and Michelle and Dennis, too!
Rest and Sleep in peace and pain free brother!
Love always,

I remember being so excited as child when I found out that I was going to have Uncle Nick as my Uncle. We always had so much fun together. We bonded over our crappy feet and I can’t help but think he is laughing at my broken foot now. He always made me laugh even more so as an adult. He became my other dad after I lost my own. He was a wonderful second dad to me and I will forever be grateful for his love and for truly making me feel like his daughter. It was my greatest privilege to have him walk me down the aisle when I married Dennis and it is a memory I will cherish forever. The love he showed Dennis when he joined our family made me feel so good. Watching him become a Guckie to Kate was wonderful. He will be greatly missed but his memory will live on in all the stories we tell about him.
Love,
Meredith

Uncle Nick,
It’s hard to wrap my head around the fact that you are gone. You will truly be missed. You always made me feel like I was one of yours. I remember the first time that I met you and Aunt Diane. Meredith brought me to your place in Brooklyn. You welcomed me with open arms and then shortly after, you told me to “run”. I am glad that I didn’t listen to you. 19 years have gone by since then and we have had many happy times together. I will miss your sense of humor and your warm embrace. You will always be remembered and hold a special place in my heart. Rest In Peace dear Uncle Nick.
Love,
Dennis

Dear Diane,
I wish I could turn back time and make it all better for you. I wish you and Nick could have had more time to have fun and enjoy your Florida Condo. One floor living was great for him and helped you be able to take such good care of him. Nick couldn’t ask for a better wife than you. Please know that we all love you and will do anything to help you going forward. You and Nick were always there for me and the kids when we lost Bill. I loved all the great times we had together and how he never stopped us from talking on the phone! Please know I will be here for you anytime of the day or night! You are simply the best sister anyone could ask for and I love you with all my heart! ❤️
Love,

Dear Diane, so sorry to learn about Nick’s passing. I heard that he called you his “bride” but you were his “Angel”. You loved and cared for him and his mama. Maria is here with me today and she sends her condolences along with mine. Stay well my friend and I will pray for Nick and you. Love Martha

Diane and Nick , John and I, and the rest of the North Pool Gang shared wonderful times in the Hideout. Nick loved sharing his amusing stories with us, loved his new home in Florida, and loved going out to eat; but most of all, he loved his “bride” Diane. Diane’s care of him was outstanding. How fortunate for both of them for having shared so many years together. We will
miss him, but I know he now has a new audience to tell his stories to and he is happy and at peace.

Nick was more family than friend. I always enjoyed time with Nick and Diane, (who also was more family than friend).
Nick shared his knowledge, which was endless, and was very easy to talk to.
I missed those talks when our lives went in different directions,
and now I will miss them even more.
Always there to lend a hand with a smile, and extremely generous.
Nick, you will be missed dearly,
But you will be forever in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.
Diane, my heart goes out to you,
and you will also be in my heart, thoughts, and prayers.

Deepest condolence
2nd cousin Nicky
from Brooklyn who lived around the corner from us, always remember those special days when I would bring baskets of fresh figs to eat. My grandfather and your grandfather were brothers. We had so many figs with 5 trees to share. When you moved to Pennsylvania we kept in touch via Christmas cards and yours were special to me because of the photos you took.
Rest in peace
Cousin Nicky ✝️🙏
Keep in touch
