Patricia “Patty Lee†Book (60) of Trinity, FL passed away June 6, 2020.
Patty Lee was born and raised in the Philadelphia area. She graduated from Archbishop Wood High School in Warminster, PA and studied Theater Arts at Bucks County Community College, the University of Maryland, and the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. She pursued a career in musical theater starring in numerous local theater productions showcasing her beautiful soprano in “Bye, Bye Birdieâ€, “The Sound of Music†and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying†to name a few. She rounded out her theater career with highlights such as a seasonal performer at Busch Gardens Tampa and a European tour of “Hairâ€.
After her theater career, Patty Lee combined her love of music, art, and all things creative along with her love of kids into a career teaching enrichment programs for children. For more than 25 years she shared her boundless joy for life and the arts, first by founding MusicWorks for Kids in Doylestown, PA, then continuing her teaching at the Asheville Arts Center in Asheville, NC and finally concluding her work with Bricks for Kids in Tampa.
Patty Lee loved her time at the beach, primarily in Ocean City, NJ and the many beautiful choices in Florida. She had developed a passion for nature photography; sunsets and sunrises bought her particular happiness. She was a supportive and dedicated wife and a proud and loving mother. She was passionate about showing love to others, to her community and to the world. No triumph was too small to celebrate and no hardship too small to offer a helping hand; she genuinely wanted to see the world be a kinder place. She also found great joy in sharing her love with her many and varied rescue dogs over the years.
Patty Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Genevieve (Markey) Blaszczyk and many loving aunts and uncles. She is survived by her husband of 25 years Fred, daughters Genevieve and Emma, her sister Vicky Ashton (husband Gary), her maternal aunt Janet Markey, her parents-in-law Edward and Inga Book, her sister-in-law Sandy (husband Gary), her brother-in-law Ed (wife Elizabeth), several nieces, a nephew, two grand-nieces and a grand-nephew.
A celebration of life will be held on a future date yet to be determined.

Fred, you and the girls are in my daily thoughts and prayers. When I see the morning sunrise now I think of Patty and how she loved going out taking the morning sunrise and nightly sunsets. I am honored and blessed to have known Patty Lee since childhood. She was so kind and loving. I remember in grade school she would ask her mom to pack an extra drink for me because I would save my milk money so we both could go down to the bakery and get a butter cake and buy some lip gloss at the pharmacy. We had some great times. I hope the treasured memories of Patty Lee bring you and the girls some comfort. She did enjoy life.

So very to hear of Patti Lee's passing, and heartbroken for the family she left behind. Patti Lee and I took ballet and swim lessons together. She was always happy & cheerful with a smile that lit up a room. I know she made a difference in the lives of those who crossed her path and will be sorely missed!
