Patricia Sebastian Boley passed away peacefully in New Port Richey, Florida after a short bout with pneumonia on June 28, 2025. She was a vivacious 90 year old who loved Frank Sinatra, Martha’s Vineyard, the color blue, and shrimp & grits.
Patti was a rare spirit, who made friends wherever she went with her gregarious personality and her unique ability to always find something meaningful – and sweet – to say to people. She took time getting to know you, listened carefully, and wasn’t above giving strong words of advice as an Italian mother will do. You could often find her making limoncello, doing interior design, and gardening.
She grew up in Florida and NY, always taking good care of her brother Freddie. After graduating from Endicott College, she married William Boley and had 4 wonderful children and 12 grandchildren, most of whom attended her 90th birthday party this February. What a wonderful night! Almost 90 people attended including college roommates, longtime friends and neighbors from Utica New York and New Port Richey, FL, as well as cousins, family and friends from all over. Numerous others sent cards and video tributes, celebrating her while she made her way around all the tables like the queen bee she was.
Almost every summer since 1998 was spent on Martha’s Vineyard, which she considered ‘paradise on earth’. She especially loved sitting on the Oak Bluffs cottage porch regaling everyone with stories from her life. Illumination fireworks and the drag queen parade often brought her to happy tears.
At Timber Greens in Florida Patti found a friend group of super fun ladies who went to shows and dinners, and she was incredibly grateful for her family and friends who called and dropped by. In her last 2 years she was blessed with Kalina, her caregiver, who became a part of her family and close friend to her.
She wanted everyone to remember that ‘if you ever have to choose between being right, and being kind, choose kindness!’ Sage and wonderful words in today’s world!
A memorial service will be held on November 15 at 10 am, at Dobies Seven Springs Chapel on 8825 Old County Road 54, New Port Richey, Florida.
