Pauline passed away of natural causes on December 27th, 2021. She was born February 17th, 1933 in St Louis, Missouri to her mother Laura Day (Dagner) and her father Finis Day. She is survived by her son Tom (Debbie) Winters of LaOtto, Indiana; sister Anita Price of Tulsa, Oklahoma; son in law James Spiker of New Port Richey, Florida; her grandchildren Douglas Spiker of Bellaire, Florida, Erika Spiker of New Port Richey, Florida, Michael Winters of Salt Lake City, Utah, Selena Winters of Fort Wayne, Indiana; and also two great-granddaughters Laela Combs and Blaire Dove of Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Pauline was raised in the Dearborn, Michigan area and graduated from Lowrey High School. She spent her working career in the Fort Wayne Community School system, holding several positions in the administration department. Pauline also donated her time at the local VA Center helping veterans. In retirement, Pauline also enjoyed splitting her time between Grayling, Michigan, and her home in New Port Richey, Florida. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church of New Port Richey, Florida, and also performed at many shows throughout the years she was with the women’s choirs.
Pauline was very strong in her faith, loved traveling, singing, and never met a stranger. Her greatest love was for all of her family and always wanted them to feel loved.
A service for Pauline will be held on February 19th, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Dobies Funeral Home in Holiday, Florida.
She will be laid to rest at Woodmere Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
