Ray Sal Scaglione Sr. 78, of Tarpon Springs, passed away peacefully on December 27, 2024, after an extended illness. Born on January 8, 1946, in
Ybor City, Florida, he was the cherished son of Corinne Alfonso Scaglione and Orlando Scaglione Sr. Ray was the beloved husband of Katrina
Scaglione, with whom he shared a welcoming home filled with laughter and love for family and friends.

He was a loving and thoughtful father to Lisa Wornick (Douglas) of Lecanto, Florida, Ray Scaglione Jr. of Tampa, Florida, and Justin
Williamson (Megan) of Walhalla, South Carolina. Ray was a gracious and proud Pappo to Rebecca, Taylor (Justin Keaton), Ray III (Yessenia), Lea
Jane Williamson, and great-grandchild Noah Keaton.

Ray graduated from Jefferson High School in Tampa and devoted more than 50 years to a career in power plant maintenance. He served as a
Nuclear QC Inspector for Florida Power and Siemens Westinghouse in Florida. An outstanding pitcher for the South Seminole League Blue Sox at
age 11, Ray earned the nickname ‘Strikeout Artist’ after throwing two onehitters across two games, striking out an incredible 32 of 36 batters.
Ray enjoyed rooting for his hometown Rays and Bucs, traveling to casinos with Katrina, and following horse and dog racing. His sense of humor and
generosity touched everyone who knew him.

A celebration of Ray’s life will be held after the new year. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Heart Association, or St.
Jude Children’s Hospital.
