Raymond Thomas Jones Jr.. known as “Tom” or “Toots” to most, is remembered by his wife, Linda, and his daughters, Emilie and Abby. Tom was born June 18th, 1950 in East Palestine, Ohio and had four brothers and sisters: Deb, Bonnie, Mike, and Scott. He then moved to St. Pete, Florida where he met his wife Linda and later started his self-owned business, New Horizon Pest Control, which he solely operated for over 40 years. From a young age, Tom was an avid watcher of greyhound dog racing, participating in multiple tracks in Florida. He was known for being the best “handicapper” amongst his peers. Tom also enjoyed playing Euchre and sponsored Euchre tournaments within the Sunnybrook community in which he lived, once their daughters were grown up. He also was involved in the community by calling Bingo on Thursday nights in Sunnybrook and volunteering at the Elfer’s Senior Center. Additionally, he loved to watch football and golf amongst other sports, music, and gourmet cooking. Tom will be remembered by his sense of humor and dynamic personality. He will be greatly missed.

With great sadness, we offer our condolences to Linda and family. I had the good fortune of meeting Tom at the Elfers Senior Center, where he volunteered. His always welcoming manner led him to introduce us to his large circle of friends and neighbors at Sunnybrook. We are so grateful for that. Always positive and upbeat, Tom would instantly fill a room with laughter and smiles. We feel fortunate to have known him and will miss him.

Sympathies and prayers to Tom’s family and friends. We both have known Tom for a long time. Many fond memories especially for Greg.
His parents Hazel and Alex were long time friends with Tom’s parents Toots and Marge and Greg and Tom were classmates. We are so grateful we were able to reconnect with Tom over lunch in recent years while visiting son in FL.
May YOUR own memories comfort you in your time of sorrow.
Blessings and prayers to all of you.

Summer meant Easter Palestine soon after release from school my sister and I would stay with Aunt Betty and Uncle Henry. We took the bus. We’d be hanging with the Jones kids and cousin Becky. Great memories of E.P. the pool, park, dairy bar banana shake. Tom is all of that. They say ‘you can’t go home again ‘ , it’s times like this that makes it seem that you never left.
Love you Tom

Our deepest condolences to Linda, family and friends. We had the pleasure of knowing Tom, because of our children, and what a wonderful surprise to find them in Sunnybrooks when we moved here. Tom was a great friend, and we will miss him.

I met Tom through our daughters’ school when I noticed his work truck parked at a house in our neighborhood. From that day forward we have been friends of the family, helping each other out with our work schedules and family events through the years. You and your great sense of humor will be greatly missed Tom. Love Pam and Russ Denise.

Dear Linda and girls,
I’m so sorry to hear of Tom’s passing. What a wonderful sense of humor he had! Never a dull moment when you were around him. I met him at the last Sunnybrook Halloween party. He told me then he was the mayor of Myrtle Oak. We’ll if he had really run for mayor, I would have voted for him. An amazing man. Only knew him for a short time, but made a great impression on me! Rest in peace Tom!
