February 20, 1944~December 09, 2023

Richard Pintcke, 79, of Hudson, FL passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on December 9, 2023.

Richard was born on February 20, 1944 to Irwin and Alfhild Pintcke in St. Joseph, MI. He graduated from St. Joseph High School and went on to study Landscape Architecture at Michigan State University.

Richard enjoyed a long career in sales and marketing in the golf course irrigation industry, winning many awards for his sales accomplishments. He then went on to work in archery equipment sales and marketing. In retirement, he dabbled in worm farming (to the amusement of all).

Richard valued his family and friends and enjoyed large gatherings and sharing good food and laughs with them. He was an avid archer and once won the Florida State Indoor Archery tournament. He always looked forward to his annual hunting trips with good friends. He loved fishing, crabbing and scalloping with his kids.

Richard was predeceased by his parents and wife, Joy Pintcke and brother in law, George Wardeberg. He is survived by his wife, Connie Pintcke; children, Cheryl Graham (Tim), Cynthia Sutherland (Michael), Aaron Estep (Tara); grandchildren Austin Graham (Brittany), Bryce Estep, Tyler Graham, Gavin Estep; siblings Deanna Wardeberg, Ted Pintcke (Laura), Susan Clift (Dale); and honorary daughter Diane Stephens (Chris).

There will be a private celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude or the Wounded Warriors Project.

Our condolences to the Pintcke family. Dick could always spin a good story. I wish I could have heard more of them. His humor was so dry. I loved it. I hope you’re telling good stories about us from heaven. Blessings to all.

There are those who might think 79 years isn’t a bad run. The older I get, the higher that number increases, in order to attain a satisfactory rating from me. However, when a man has a wife, children, and grandchildren, any number with less than three digits is simply unacceptable. Therefore, I offer my profound sympathy to all those who wish for one more day, year, or lifetime with Dick. I fondly remember the many holiday meals shared with Dick and his family over the course of decades. I always knew Dick would dependably have fresh material for his dinner table anecdotes and I would restrict my self to taking uncharacteristically small bites, until after the punchline.

Connie and family
I always remember the humor of Dick. The first time I met him I fell in love with his quick witted personality, kindness and generosity. He will be truly missed. He was so good to you and I saw you laugh a lot. His love, knew no bounds. What a great person and wonderful cook. Our deepest sympathies with love.
