Richard Michael Palladino, 83, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2024 after a 3 year battle with cancer. He was born on October 9, 1941 in Syracuse, NY, the son of Michael Palladino and Annunziata Desocio Palladino. He was raised in Syracuse and attended school there, eventually finding employment at GTE in Camillus, NY. He worked as a systems analyst for 35 years until his retirement in 1997 when he retired to Hudson, Florida.
Known to family and friends as Dick, he learned to play the accordion as a young child and competed throughout his school years. He began competitions at age 10 and even played at Carnegie Hall. He was an avid Syracuse University, New York Yankees, and Tampa Bay sports fan, often traveling to cheer for his teams. He was also active in the Knights of Columbus and attended St Michael the Archangel Catholic Church during his time in Florida.
He is survived by his spouse of 45 years, Terry Ann Palladino. He is also survived by his son, Rick (Andrea) Palladino, daughters Theresa (Tom) Piegat, Pam (David) Holmes, Jennifer (Mike) Fahey and 10 grandchildren- Justin (Brooke), Dillon and Kelsey Piegat; Will, Reagan and Ryan Palladino; Lauren and Madelyn Holmes; Taylor and Jacob Fahey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Gulfside Hospice, specifically in New Port Richey, FL, which served him with compassion. Gifts to the American Cancer Society (Memorial and Honor Giving) would also be appreciated with the hope that research will benefit other cancer patients.
A memorial service will be held at Dobies Funeral Home in Hudson, Florida on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 10:00 AM for family and friends.

Memories from my childhood include watching grandpa DeSocio and cousin Dickie playing the accordion together. I have fond memories of him both as a child and as an adult. Sending sincere condolences to his loved ones.
