Robert A. Forand Jr, 56, of Hudson, FL, passed away on January 10, 2024. He was the former owner of All About Comfort HVAC.
Robert was born in Biloxi, MS, the son of Robert and Marie (DeLorge) Forand Sr. on March 8, 1967.
He is survived by his loving wife Laurie (LaPlante) Forand of Hudson, FL; 3 sons Eric LaPlante and his fiancé Ryanne Thorpe of Port St. Lucie, FL, Jonthon Robbins and his fiancé Morgan Jackson of Tucson, AZ, Justin Forand and his wife Shannon of Hudson, FL; his father Robert Forand Sr and step-mother Jennie of Homosassa, FL; sister Pam Sanborn of KY; grandchildren Drew, Taylor, Luke, Kade LaPlante, Annabell Robbins, Kaden Jackson-Lockman, Gunner Jackson-Lockman, Hunter and Lillianna Forand.

I only knew Bob for a short time, but he was an easy person to like and care about. He fought hard and was an inspiration.

Laurie and Family: Bob impacted every nurse that took care of him. He made us laugh, he made us cry when he was leaving us. His impact will be deeply felt in this world. My beloved step son. I’m so glad to have been able to know you over the last 20 years and will miss you dearly. You are such a loving husband, father, son, grandfather. We were surprised and greatly saddened to learn of Bob’s passing, through a recent issue of the Conway Daily Sun (NH). At All About Comfort, Bob provided major upgrades to the heating systems in my various apartment buildings and in our home. I could depend on Bob day or night to keep my systems running. There wasn’t a heating system he could not fix. Always congenial, warm and friendly, we came to see Bob as a friend as much as a business associate.
Our sincere condolences to Bob, Laurie, Justin and all his family. We will miss you Bob. Rest in peace.

I went to a celebration of life for Bob yesterday and it brought back all the conversations that Bob and I had over the past 20 years. He was a man of honor, integrity, and love. Love of his family, friends and most of all his grandchildren. When we would start the day , it was always “ how’s the family “. Then at the end of the day, no matter how busy he was, there was always time to talk about what the kids were up to and how proud he was of their accomplishments. He and I always swapped stories of the grandchildren. Laurie would often come , if Bob and I were doing something on Saturday and always had great stories of what the boys were doing.
He called me when he first found out about his cancer and he was so upbeat. He was more than a friend, he was an inspiration.
RIP my friend.
