Robert (Bob) Williams was born at home in Minneapolis on September 29th, 1933. His identical twin, Donald, was born 10 minutes after Bob. The twins, along with older brother Jim and older sister Pat, were raised in Minneapolis and later in Faribault, Minnesota. Bob had many interests and excelled in boxing and football. After graduating from Immaculate Conception High School, Bob joined the Marines at the height of the Korean War. After serving in Korea, he married the love of his life, Marjorie Bauernfeind, in 1953. Bob was then stationed in Southern California where the newlyweds spent their first years. They would have been married for an amazing 70 years in December of this year. After his discharge from the Marines, Bob and Marge moved back to Minnesota. Bob began a very successful career in the baking industry, including senior management positions with the Pillsbury Company. His career involved moves to California, Oregon and back to Minnesota. In 1993, Bob and Marge bought their retirement home in Hudson, Florida. They became very involved in the community through volunteerism (including the local hospital) and other organizations like the Elks. This move was a blessing as they made many very close friends and could enjoy the best of Florida’s golf, entertainment and water sports.
The Williams have a close-knit family. Bob is survived by his wife Marge, 4 sons-Tim (wife Robyn), James, Scott (wife Sue) and John, 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many cousins and other relatives.

Lowell and I always enjoyed Bob’s dry sense of humor. I was one that never knew if it was a joke or not. Bob enjoyed trying to catch me off guard, which was more times that I would like to admit to. Bob will always be in my prayers. Our son Jim enjoyed betting on football games with Bob when the Vikings played the Packers. Turns out Jim had to take Bob and Marge out to dinner twice this year. That just goes to show you we could never win when it came to the Viking Packer games.
