Bob was born January 22, 1960 in Hackensack, New Jersey to Helen Reczkowski and Sam Jones. In 1966 Bob moved several doors down from his childhood sweetheart and surviving wife, Annette. Annette and Bob were married in 1979 and shared many adventures over their 42 years of marriage. After they had their son Robert Jr and daughter Gina, they moved their family to Florida in 1985.
Bob was a jack of all trades and along with being a professional truck driver, painter, and carpenter, he was also a general contractor who owned his own business specializing in painting throughout Tampa Bay. Bob had a lifelong passion for his hobbies. He had an interest in coin collecting and tropical fish since he was a child. Bob loved rock music and became a drummer in the 1970s.
Bob was a devoted family man, cherished his family, and enjoyed being with them as often as he could to now include a son in law and daughter in law. He loved when his family expanded and were blessed with 3 grandchildren, Blaize, Jett and Anaiah, which totally fulfilled his life. He shared many stories with his children and their friends over the years. Although, he had a tough exterior, he loved all types of movies, which among his favorites were Pulp Fiction, Ghost, Stand by Me, Tombstone, and anything with the Marx Brothers. The Three Stooges and The Little Rascals were also some of his favorites since he was a kid. He enjoyed spending a lot of time with his wife, Annette, hiking on nature trails, bike riding, and traveling out west. After he stopped working so hard in the Florida sun for so many years, he began enjoying the beach a lot more and sitting in beach chairs along the water’s edge where he could chat for hours. He also enjoyed many sunsets with his wife and was lucky enough to have his immediate family join them from time to time to experience the beauty of Florida sunsets over the Gulf of Mexico.
