Ronald Keith Widman
May 1, 1954-January 30, 2025
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Ron Widman, a devoted husband, loving father, cherished grandfather, and a man whose kindness and quiet strength left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He passed away in Palm Harbor, FL, surrounded by his loving family.
A Green Beret and Vietnam Veteran, Ron served his country with honor. Though he seldom spoke of his service, we hold deep respect for his sacrifice and commitment. His bravery was not just in what he did but in how he lived—with integrity, humility, and a heart full of love for his family.
He was a mentor to many, always leading with wisdom and a quiet but steady presence. His greatest joy was his family, and we loved him beyond words. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Joyce and his four daughters, Harmony, Elizabeth, April, and Autumn, who will carry his strength forward. He was a beloved grandfather to Brylee, LB, Harlow, Norah, and Mae, who brought him endless pride and joy. He is also survived by his mother, Mary Jo, his brothers, Butch and Charlie, and his sisters, Tracy and Tammy, as well as many extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly.
His legacy will live on in the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the quiet but powerful way he made the world a better place.
A service to honor his life will be held on February 8, 2025, at 10:00am at Dobies Funeral Home in Tarpon Springs Florida. An open house/party to celebrate his life will be from 4:00pm-8:00pm at the family home in Palm Harbor.
Though he is no longer with us, his love and strength will forever live on in his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who were lucky enough to know him.

Joyce and daughters (Harmony, April, Autumn and “E” (Elizabeth),
This one hits hard. Ron was a mentor and friend and I will miss him very very much. I am so glad I got to see him recently and put a bag of stone crab claws in his hand and sneak 2 great hugs. My heart aches for your loss and I hope you find peace in knowing how loved he was and how the pride beamed from his face when talking about his “girls;” all of them, all of you and your beautiful daughters and LB. I think he picked up a guitar and is playing for all his friends and family who passed before him and welcomed him with open arms.
RIP Ron, my mentor and my friend.
