Sherri Jacobs, 57, of Tarpon Springs, Florida, passed away on Sunday, December 10th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Sherri was born in Lewiston, Maine, and graduated from Lewiston High School and the University of Maine at Farmington.
She is survived by her Mother Rita; her three sisters Sharon, Sheila, and Shelly; her brother in-laws Bob and Timmy; her niece Amber; nephew Dylan; great niece Talia; and her pride and joy, her great nephew Trey.
Sherri was pre-deceased by her father Louis and her niece Ashlee.
Sherri began working at the City of Tarpon Springs over 25 years ago where she continued until her death. She loved her job and made many lifelong friends at the city. Sherri enjoyed dinners out, beach trips with her family, movies with Trey, gambling at The Hardrock, and was an avid reality tv fan.
Sherri will be greatly missed by her family, friends, co-workers, and all who loved her.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, December 20th at Sunset Beach, Tarpon Springs, FL. Bring a beach chair to enjoy the sunset, one of Sherri’s favorite pastimes.
In lieu of flowers, please remember Sherri with a smile and an act of kindness.
The family would like to thank Kashika, Mel, Colleen, and Shan at Suncoast Hospice for their care and compassion.
A special thank you to her boss, Tom Funcheon, City Manager, Mark LeCouris, and her best friend Silva Webster for their kindness throughout her battle. We can never thank you enough. She loved you all.
