Sondra “Sandy” Wright Taylor, of Trinity, Florida, passed away peacefully on May 29th, 2022. Born in Washington, PA, on December 15, 1946, Sandy is the daughter of the late Winnett Wilson Wright, Jr. and Lois Jean Wright. Sandy grew up in Coral Gables, FL, and went on to receive both her Undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the University of Miami (FL). After many years teaching at The Deerborne School in Coral Gables, FL, she moved with her (then) husband to Stuart, FL, to raise their two sons. She went on to work in the Fine Art industry for more than twenty years working for companies that organized art fairs around the world and packed and shipped fine art globally.
Sandy spent the last ten years of her life enjoying retirement to the fullest in Trinity, FL. Close to family and good friends, she had an active life in her Heritage Springs community. Sandy loved her dog (Bentley), playing Mahjong with “The Girls” (as she affectionately called them), happy hour, collecting artwork, the Golden Girls, Blue Bloods (Tom Selleck), the University of Miami football, going on cruises with her friends, golf cart parades, trivia and “name that tune” nights at the club, Motown, stone crabs, and key lime pie.
In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by her brother, Winnett “Skip” Wilson Wright III. She is survived by her two sons, Alexander Seth Cone (Stephanie) of Atlanta, GA, and Justin Wilson Cone (April) of Cleveland, GA, and her twin granddaughters, Cameron and Breanna.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home located at 8825 Old C.R. 54, New Port Richey, FL 34653 on Saturday, June 11, 2022, at 11:00 am with a visitation starting at 10:00 am.

Sandy was my friend and neighbor for the 10 years she lived here. I’ll always remember her for her smile and kindness she showed to me. She was just a wonderful person and I’m glad I was able to know her. I’ll always remember our last visit together, because she was so up in spirits. She will be dearly missed. My prayers go out to her family. Just remember all the good memories with Mom and Grandma. She always talked about you at our Mah Jongg games.

During my last visit with Sandy while she was hospitalized, she said one of the best things she ever did was move to Heritage Springs. Knowing the many friends, good times, and laughter she brought with her, I am sure Heritage Springs can say she was one of the best things that happened to those who were lucky enough to know her. Rest well my friend.💖

I remember Sandy. Mrs. Cone (at the time) for always being so gracious and caring. I spent a few times couple at the house in Stuart. Such fond memories there. I appreciated her always treating me like I was one of her boys. My deepest condolences to Justin, April, the girls and the family. May you find comfort and peace in this difficult time..

I don’t live at Heritage Springs but I met Sandy through my cousin Veronica (Veronica is part of the Mah Jong group). I loved her spirit the minute I met her. After a Heritage Springs Happy Hour Sandy invited a few of us to her house. I got to meet the adorable Bentley and I marveled at the various pieces of artwork in her house. I last talked with Sandy at Veronica and her husband’s anniversary party in March of this year. I’m a richer person for knowing Sandy. Her family and friends are in my prayers. Rest well Sandy.

Sandy was a lovely lady who was such an integral part of my formative years. I went to Deerborne from 1969 to 1981. She was tender and tough at the same time. Her big personality and infectious laughter will be treasured and remembered by those of us who knew and loved her. My deepest condolences to her beloved sons, both of whom we knew as babies and toddlers. My love and gratitude to the entire Cone family as well. ♡ Rest in peace, Sandy. You certainly lived a wonderful life! ♡
