Stella Teresa Filipponio “Pavia”, the last of the eleven Pavia children was born on March 26,1929, in Montreal Quebec, Canada, and  passed into the arms of God on Sunday July 25th at 6:25 am in her home in New Port Richie, Florida. She was surrounded by her daughters and many trinkets of love gifted to her throughout the years.

She leaves behind Maria (George)Peercy, Donna (Gary)Nachman, Quina (Vince)Cichon and Lucy (Jerry) Garofalo. As well as nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She loved her music from her era and loved to dance. She loved the warmth of the sun; her favorite color was purple. She never missed “The Price is Right”. Always up to an outing of any kind, she loved meeting new people and family gatherings. Although she was very quiet, she was always polite and happy to lend an ear to listen. Stella never spoke an unkind word about anyone and never interfered in her daughters’ relationships or anyone else’s business.

Stella was very funny. Not sure anyone knew that about her, but out of nowhere she unexpectedly would speak out and have the entire room bursting in laughter. She was a strong woman that endured many difficulties but was determined to find her own path in life. She loved to look nice and wore lots of “bling” jewelry every day. She loved owning and shopping for shoes and always wore her makeup. She left home for last time wearing a favorite dress in powder blue and a pair of her favorite outrageously colorful earrings.

She built such a strong sense of family among us, that we have an extreme and unusual close bond that can never fail.

We believe that she began a new life that will be as beautiful as her soul.

You will be a part of us forever as you are unforgettable, and Stella, you truly are a star.
