Susan Jean Hayes, 80, of Trinity, Florida, passed away on July 23, 2021. Susan was born in Leslie Michigan on June 29, 1941. She moved to Florida as a child, attended Jackson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, and worked as an RN for many years in California, Saudi Arabia, and Florida. Susan loved to travel both in the US and Europe. She visited every state in the US except Hawaii and her favorite destination in Europe was Interlaken Switzerland where she visited several times. She loved to read every bestseller as soon as it came to market and was a tremendous cook.

Susan was preceded in death by her father, Reverend Raymond Hayes, and mother, Jean; her brother, Steven, his wife Tammy; her sister, Janet Kearns; and her beloved poodle Holly.

She is survived by several nieces, nephews, and a brother-in-law including, Katherine Dorsey (Greg), Andrew Hayes, Timothy Hayes, Kelley Helton (Richard), William Kearns (Dianna), Kevin Kennedy (Mary), Marianne Stanley (Richard), and brother-in-law William Kearns, and long time friend and travel mate, Mary Egan and Ellie her beloved 10-month-old poodle.

She is also survived by grandnieces and nephews, Robert Tyler Bailey, Katelyn Anne Calerich (Adam), Tabatha DiEdwardo (Anthony), Tearzah Hayes, Colin Kearns, Juliet Kearns, Sean Kearns, Cynthia Stanley, Emily Stanley, and Katie Stanley.

A celebration of life will be held at Fox Hollow Golf Club; on September 7th from 2:00 PM -5:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Lung Association or the charity of your choice, in Susan’s honor will be greatly appreciated. She will be in our hearts always and greatly missed by all who knew her.
