It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Susan Hastings, who left us on August 20, 2024, at the age of 68. Born on December 27, 1955, Susan was a beloved wife, mother, sister, and cherished friend.

Susan was the heart of her family, known for her boundless generosity and unwavering support. She is survived by her devoted husband, Steve; her loving son, Justin; and her dear sisters, Diane and Linda. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she gave selflessly of herself, always putting their needs before her own.

A dedicated home health physical therapist, Susan found great joy in caring for her patients. Her compassion and dedication made a profound impact on those she served, and her kindness was felt deeply by everyone fortunate enough to be in her care.

For the past five years, Susan faced the challenges of cancer with remarkable strength and grace. Her courage and resilience in the face of adversity were a testament to her enduring spirit and her love for her family.

Susan’s heart of gold and her ability to make others feel valued and loved will be profoundly missed. Her legacy of kindness, dedication, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

The visitation for Susan will be held on Tuesday, August 27th from 5 PM to 7 PM at Thomas B. Dobies Funeral Home, located at 8825 Old County Rd 54, New Port Richey, FL 34653. The funeral service will follow on Wednesday at 11 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Susan’s memory may be made to Hospice Pasco Hernando, St. Jude’s or the American Cancer Society.

Rest in peace, dear Susan. You will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Sue was a blessing to me. She was my physical therapist assistant and we had many things in common. Her strong faith was a special gift. My sincere sympathy to her family and all who loved her. Your friend in Christ.
