Terry George West, 74, of Largo, Florida, passed away on December 1, 2024.
Born on November 9, 1950, Terry was a man defined by his passions and dedication. He was a devoted husband to Debra, a proud father to Nathan and daughter-in-law Jessica, and a loving companion to his cherished dog, Scooter.
Terry had a lifelong love for the Chicago Blackhawks, rarely missing a televised game, and an unmatched passion for racing. Before settling down with his wife and welcoming his son, Terry spent many years as a race car driver, living out his love for speed and competition on the track.
His love for music, especially rock ‘n’ roll, was another cornerstone of his life. He played bass in multiple rock ‘n’ roll bands and continued to enjoy live performances, always playing his favorite tracks loudly on his over-the-top surround sound!!
Terry’s passion for cars carried over into his professional life, where he spent decades in the automotive industry. From building custom Corvettes in the 1990s to managing auto repair shops, Terry’s skill and dedication earned him the respect of colleagues and customers alike.
He is survived by his wife, Debra; his son Nathan and daughter-in-law Jessica; his loyal dog Scooter; and his brothers, Bruce, Dennis, and Brian.
Terry’s memory will forever live on through his family, his love for the Blackhawks, his lifelong enthusiasm for rock ‘n’ roll, and his passion for the world of racing and automobiles.

I was shocked to hear the bad news, after talking with him just a few days prior to finding out, but I know Terry enjoyed life, Pepsi, his family, his dog, his hobbies, and his multitude of friends.
The good ones always are the first to go, and Terry was one of them
Rest in peace, my good buddy
