Laubner, Theodore G., (Ted) age 99, passed away on the 23rd of September. He was born June 11, 1919 in Lynn, Massachusetts. The father of four children, he resided in Holiday, Florida since 1982. Ted is survived by children Ted Jr. (Lorraine), Thomas (Carol), and Joan (Ross) Jahren. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Marie, wife of 67 years and his daughter Jacqueline (David) Hynes. He also leaves behind grandchildren Jeannine, Brendan, Lisa and Alexis plus great-granddaughter Lina and great-grandson Theo, many nieces and nephews and his companion, Alma McDougal.
Mr. Laubner was a retired school teacher, athletic director, and Hall of Famer at Lynn English High School. He was a WWII Army Air Corps veteran and former co-owner of Laubner’s Drive In restaurant. He was a Eucharist minister for the homebound as well as a member of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. Ted was also past Grand Knight of 7621, belonged to the St. Vincent de Paul Society, a Knight of Columbus Council 6476, and a Fourth Degree Knight. For many years Ted was a member of the Holiday Lakes Civic Association, VFW and the American Legion. He was also a member of the Polish American Pulaski Association and life member of the Dennis Orloski American Legion. He enjoyed being a member of the Moose golf league and the Tarpon Springs men’s golf league.
A wake for Mr. Laubner will be held at Dobies Funeral Home 4910 Bartelt Road, Holiday, Florida on Friday, October 19th from 4-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 20th at 10:00am at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church 4843 Mile Stretch Drive, Holiday, Florida. Memorial donations can be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Ted.

I would like to extend my deepest condolences to the Laubner Family with the passing of my dear friend Ted. He was an outstanding educator who was loved and admired by all.

Mr. Laubner also taught Industrial Electronics. He was my teacher. I think of him often.
